Who remembers the Ardmore Hotel?
For the opening talk of 2025 The Old Newry Society is delighted to have local photography enthusiast, John Davis.
He will share his memories in stories and photographs of life, work and entertainment in what was Newry’s mecca during the ‘showband years’ of the 60s and 70s.
Like John himself, maybe you worked there or attended some of the regular dance nights.

John will also recall the times when the Hotel was targeted during the Troubles, one of which brought the Ardmore Hotel to a sad close.
