'Pride of Lurgan' Micky Bartlett headlines first Panic Station gig of 2025

The first Panic Station gig of 2025 is going to be a massive one!

The popular Newry comedy night returns on Saturday, March 8 with four of the North’s finest comics.

Micky Bartlett’s comedy is as bold as it is hilarious, boasting unfiltered humor and energetic storytelling, with an added knack for turning awkward and mundane situations into comedic gold. His shows often draw from his personal experiences, making his performances both relatable and laugh-out-loud funny, so it’s no surprise that his growing presence on the UK comedy circuit leaves him as one of Northern Ireland’s brightest comedy stars.placeholder image

According to the event description, headliner Micky Bartlett has been lured to Newry “with a possible after party and a Friar Tucks”. He’s sold out shows at the Waterfront Hall and organisers Darren Matthews and Lianne McCooey are excited to have Micky headlining.

Daly’s Comedy Club frontman Conor Keys makes the journey up the road on a rare break from being the opener on Colin Murphy’s tour to come and tread the boards at the Newry Town Hall, while Alan Irwin returns after headlining one of the ‘World Tour of Newry’ shows in 2024.

Also on the bill is Adam Byrne, “part of the new breed of comics storming the scene with nothing but skill and questionable shirts”.

Doors 6.45pm. Show at 8pm. Fully licensed bar. Over 18s only. Tickets at eventbrite.com
