One of the event’s chief organisers Des Murphy spoke to us and told us what to expect.
“We're having a big night in Carrickcruppen GFC this Saturday,” he said.

“Then, we have The Tan and Sober Gentlemen: they are a unique Mountain Bluegrass Hillbilly band from North Carolina who have played at Electric Picnic in each of the last two years.
“We have funding from the Ring of Gullion Landscape Partnership. The guys have agreed to take a half-price cut on the gig – they are staying in Camlough on Saturday night and they are absolutely amazing.
“I have experienced them and they are 1,000 times more nuts than The Pogues were in their day. They play a lot of Irish tunes – where they got it from, I do not know, but they are hugely interesting.

“They played a charity fundraiser for the two kids who were sick last year [Daniel Greer and Bobby Browne] in Newry, that was the first time I saw them live.
“Annie Britton from Camlough has taken them here; she worked in North Carolina for years and that's her connection.”
