Shinken Shobu Ryu Judo Mini Mons Ziggy Magee and Amber Melling win their first medals


For many of the club’s young Judoka this was their first opportunity to test their skills.

In the Mini Mons which is the younger section the club has Ziggy Magee and Amber Melling. Both of them making their competitive debut and showing their grit with Ziggy winning gold and Amber winning Bronze.

Hide AdStepping up to the Kyu grades Shinken Shobu Ryu Judo club had a team of six with a mixture of of first and second time competitors.
There were silver medals for Charlie Rafferty, Ellen Keenan, Kalal Magee, and Maria Burns-Kimberly.
To round out and to complete the team was Carl Keenan, and Karl Law who both lifted bronze.
Masters at work
Not to be outdone, members of the club’s Masters team – Paul McConville, Martin Fearon and Paddy McCambridge entered the prestigious Irish Masters on Saturday October 26.
Paul and Paddy both showing the determination and skills to fight their way through to secure gold. Martin returning after a hiatus is returning with a very well earned silver medal.
