Steven McDonnell to take over as Killeavy Senior football team boss following management team's exit
The Newry Reporter understands that Niall McAleenan and his backroom team informed the squad of his decision to step down on Monday evening, following an underwhelming league campaign and poor performance in their Championship opener.

Hide AdKilleavy were beaten comprehensively by Cullyhanna on Friday evening, losing 2-16 to 0-8. However, they still have two more group games, as they host Culloville on Saturday and travel to Silverbridge the following weekend.
Steven McDonnell will be joined on the management ticket by former Killeavy boss Paul McArdle.
