Fra McCaffrey departs The Showgrounds as Salley, O'Connor and Ball are transfer listed
McCaffrey joins Sports Direct Premiership side Loughgall following 12 months at The Showgrounds.
The former Warrenpoint Town midfielder scored the winning goal as Newry defeated Carrick Rangers 1-0 in March and also found the net with a superb strike from outside the box as City overcame Ballyclare Comrades in September. In total, he made 28 appearances and scored four goals, according to Newry Football Memories.

Salley had a tremendous first season at the club, as he netted 14 times, including nine times in the Premiership. However, the striker hasn’t been able to recapture that form this season, with just two goals in 17 Championship games.
O’Connor joined in the summer of 2023 following the expiration of his contract with Glentoran, and the attacking midfielder became one of Newry’s most important players. He contributed to eight goals in 31 appearances in the 2023-24 campaign, but hasn’t scored or got an assist so far this season.
Ball joined the club alongside Warrenpoint Town manager Barry Gray in January 2024 and was named as captain in the summer. However, following the return of Darren Mullen to the hot seat in October, Ball was removed of his captaincy. He scored one goal in 23 appearances.
