The goal is to raise £40,000 to support the Hospice’s specialist palliative care services. Volunteers play a vital role in the success of the event, and the Hospice is calling on the local community to get involved.

Siobhan McArdle, Hospice Fundraising Manager, encouraged local people to sign up and volunteer on the day.

She said, “Every year the success of our Big Bucket collections are thanks to the incredible support we get from local people, businesses and schools.

"This year we are hoping to see that support grow even more. If you can spare one or two hours to help collect in your town it will make a world of difference for our patients and their families.”

This year the Hospice needs to fundraise £3.6 million which is approximately £300,000 per month, £69,230 per week, £9,863 per day, £410 per hour. They need to raise these funds to enable them to continue to provide care and support to patients and their families.
