Saval Lourdes Committee raise over £2,000 for Southern Area Hospice

Saval Lourdes Committee have handed over a cheque for £2,200 to Southern Area Hospice.

Saval Lourdes Committee presented a cheque last month to the Southern Area Hospice, the proceeds from their annual St Stephen's Day walk fundraiser.

A total of £2,200 was raised for the hospice in addition to money raised for Saval Lourdes Committee trip to Lourdes this June.

Each year Southern Area Hospice has the momentous task of funding approximately two-thirds of their running costs annually.

They currently have an ambitious fundraising target of £3.6 million. This equates to £300,000 per month, £69,230 per week, £9,863 per day, £410 per hour that needs to be funded to enable the Southern Area Hospice Services to continue to provide specialist care to those who need it the most.
