Niamh ‘blown away’ by reaction to Britain's Got Talent audition
Teenage harpist, Niamh Noade, has admitted she was “blown away” by the amazing reaction to her audition for ITV’s Britain's Got Talent.
The 17-year-old, from Lislea, appeared on last Saturday night’s episode, where she earned a standing ovation from the judges and the audience for her version of Alex Warren’s song, Ordinary.

YouTuber-turned talent show judge, KSI, said of the performance: “You have an angelic instrument and an angelic voice. Combining that together was just perfect.”
Fellow judge Alesha Dixon enthused: “Your voice is really special and you’re very unique.
“This is not an act we see all the time. It was heavenly.”
Amanda Holden said Niamh had a “clean, clear voice”.
“Your whole presence, it was beautifully, quietly confident,” she added. “You did a really lovely audition.”
Head judge Simon Cowell agreed with his fellow panellists: “You’ve got an amazing voice.
“I mean, some people are just born with great voices and you have that.
“The version, I thought, of the song was sensational. I mean seriously sensational.”
All four judges gave the local performer a ‘Yes’ to her progression to the next stage of the ITV talent competition.
On social media after the show was aired, Niamh commented: “Thank you so much guys. It was such an amazing opportunity.”
Newry-based Flynn Performing Arts remarked: “Wow! What an incredible performance on Britain's Got Talent!
“We are so proud of you! Simon Cowell called you sensational and we couldn’t agree more!
“The world is seeing what we’ve always known. Congratulations, Niamh Noade… The Girl With The Harp.”
Known for her hauntingly beautiful vocals and mesmerising harp performances, Niamh burst into the spotlight as a finalist on The Voice Kids UK 2023, where her rendition of ‘The Winner Takes It All’ not only captivated the heart of Ronan Keating, but also amassed more than 16 million views worldwide.
