Hilltown man Phil Doyle will be feeling sheepish at this year’s Back from the Boley festival as he gets his wool clipped for charity.

Phil, who has been sporting a beard since 1984, is shaving it off to raise money for a cause very close to his heart.

Phil and his wife Ramona’s son, Phelim, was born with Muscular Dystrophy and he was only eight years old when he died in August 1987. So, this year, Phil has decided to sacrifice his 50 year-old facial fluff, to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy UK and local charity Life and Time.
