The SDLP representative has been recommended for a three-year term to the role. The former Mullaghbawn clubman will return to Laois having been in charge between 2011and 2013, leading the county to an All-Ireland quarter final and promotion to Division One.

As of yet, it is unknown how McNulty will combine his Laois role with his position as an MLA of the Northern Irish Assembly.
SDLP South Down MLA and colleague Colin McGrath told BBC Northern Ireland's 'The View': "I don't know if he's going to have [work] one day a week or six days a week or seven days a week.
"There will be discussions with Justin in the days ahead."
McNulty's appointment is expected to be ratified next week.
