DAERA launches new dashboard to track bathing water quality

If you’re thinking about going for a dip in Warrenpoint or Cranfield during the good spell of weather, there’s a new way of keeping on top of how good the bathing water is.

That’s because a new interactive Bathing Water Quality Dashboard to help the public make informed decisions about where and when to swim across Northern Ireland’s 33 designated bathing sites has been launched today by DAERA Minister Andrew Muir.

Warrenpoint has been named as one of seven new bathing water sites.placeholder image

The dashboard features an interactive map, search and filter tools, weekly sampling results, and links to detailed Bathing Water Profiles. It also includes a clear notice to explain that data is not real-time, ensuring users understand the context of the information provided.

Minister Muir said: “The new dashboard reflects our commitment to public health and environmental transparency. It gives communities the tools they need to enjoy our bathing waters safely and confidently.”
