Open to those starting Year 11 in September 2025 and under 15 years old by 1 July 2025, NIFRS Cadet Scheme provides an exciting and hands-on opportunity to develop life skills, build confidence, and form lasting friendships – all while having fun.

To be eligible, applicants must live or attend school within the geographical area of Newry Cadet Branch.

Cadets will gain insight into the vital role of Firefighters, learn essential fire safety and first aid skills, and take part in teamwork-based activities that promote leadership and personal development. The program also helps young people enhance their future career prospects and contribute to their local community.

Spaces are limited, so interested applicants are encouraged to apply by Wednesday 30 April 2025.
