​Jewellery and cash stolen as rooms ransacked in Newry burglary

​Detectives are appealing for information following a report of burglary at residential premises at the Woodlands area of Newry.

Detective Sergeant Lewis said: “Sometime between 1pm on Saturday, November 18 and 5pm on Sunday, November 19, it was reported that entry was gained into a house in the area.

"It was reported that a quantity of jewellery and a sum of cash were taken, with a number of rooms inside the property also ransacked during the incident.

“As our enquiries continue, we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area around this time, to contact detectives on 101, and quote reference number 1156 19/11/23.
