Police officers have been out and about in Newry to try and put a stop on anti-social behaviour (ASB).

A spokesperson posted on their Newry, Mourne and Down Facebook page: “Following a number of reports in the past few weeks regarding anti-social behaviour, Newry City Neighbourhood Team were out on foot... to deter such behaviour from occurring.

“Reports of anti-social behaviour have ranged from being abusive towards store assistants within our shopping centres to dangerously riding scramblers within public spaces.

“No one should go to work expecting to receive abuse of any kind. Similarly no one wants to have to be mindful in public areas for unlicenced and uninsured motor vehicles racing around dangerously.
