Camlough Lake Recreational Hub Proposals are now available to view online.

Newry, Mourne and Down District Council are in the process of developing plans for the development of a new recreational hub on lands to the east of Camlough Lake, and these proposals are now available to view from online from this evening.

Between Thursday November 30 and Thursday December 14 the proposed plans can be viewed at: https://camloughrecreationalhubproposal.com.

Furthermore, Newry, Mourne and Down District Council are inviting the public to view the proposed development plans at: St. Malachy’s Primary School, 3 Chapel Road, Camlough BT35 7HF on Thursday December 7 between 4pm and 8pm.

The proposals include:

- Proposed development of a recreational hub to provide facilities for both water and non-water based activities at Camlough Lake.

- Development includes a single storey multi-use building, outdoor space with external showers, changing facilities, slipway, kayak storage, picnic areas, vehicular turning and bus and car parking areas.

- Upgrade of existing vehicular access off the Newtown Road for the provision of entrance and exit lanes and associated visibility splays.

- New pedestrian access linked to the existing lake footway.
