As a result of their determination, hard work and commitment, outstanding GCSE results have been achieved by individual students and the year group.
39% of all grades obtained were A*/A, 69% were A*/B with 94% of students achieving seven or more A*/C grades including English and Maths with 94% of all grades achieved being A*/C.
These excellent results highlight Violet Hill’s position as one of Northern Ireland’s top achieving Boys’ Grammar Schools.
Violet Hill Principal Mr. Cormac McKinney expressed his congratulations to the students.
“The GCSE results demonstrate that our students worked hard, were focused and determined to succeed.
"Having achieved their potential, our students can look forward to the next stage of their educational journey and careers with pride and confidence.”
He continued by thanking the staff of the College along with the students’ parents and guardians.
“All the staff members of the College are committed to ensuring that each student is encouraged and enabled to do the best he can. Everything that the College sets out to achieve for each individual pupil is done with the support and co-operation of our parents and guardians, for which we are very grateful.
"Our students, having achieved such outstanding GCSE results, just like the A-Level students who received their results last week, demonstrate an excellent work ethic and determination to achieve their potential. We are looking forward with confidence and enthusiasm to building on these achievements as our students commence their Sixth Form courses in September.”
