You say, “I’m not religious”, that’s ok. You say I’m not presbyterian, that's ok. You say “I’ve not been in church for years”, that too is fine. “Try Praying” is a national initiative designed as a seven-day prayer guide for people who are not religious and who don't go to church. It is also a help for those who are religious and who go to church. The booklet invites people to experience the kindness of God by talking with him. The claim is that such a conversation will be the most life-changing experience you can have. Copies of the “Trypraying” booklet will be available for anyone wishing to have one; use it yourself before giving it away; the slogan is “Use it and lose it”.

The prophet Jeremiah, speaking the words of God told the people of his day to, “Seek the peace of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to Yahweh on its behalf; for in its peace you will have peace….for I know the plans I have for you,’...plans to for peace and not for calamity, to give you a future and a hope” When you see the banner, “trypraying” outside the church you will know you are I the right place.
