Starting this July - Layered Lives - a space for young women to connect, grow & explore healthy relationships
‘Layered Lives’ - Bolster’s new neurodivergent-friendly programme designed to help young women build confidence, find community, and thrive in their everyday lives is starting Tuesday, July 29 (3-5pm). The programme will run at the same time every Tuesday afternoon for six weeks at Bolster’s Marcus St premises. Tea, coffee and delicious snacks will be provided and a warm, welcoming environment guaranteed! Interested participants must register their details in advance.
So what is it all about?
At its heart, Layered Lives is all about relationships - the ones we have with friends, family, partners, and ourselves - both in real life, and online. In a safe, supportive and empowering space, participants will explore what makes a relationship healthy, how to spot red flags, and ways to set boundaries that protect their wellbeing.
The programme also offers young women opportunities to connect with others who understand, while building confidence and self-esteem along the way. This isn’t about lectures or judgment - it’s about honest conversations, shared experiences, and personal growth.

We promise a warm welcoming atmosphere where everyone can be themselves and connect with new friends in a relaxed informal setting.
Programme facilitator Tracy McCartney says: “We are really excited to be running this new programme specially tailored for young women who can identify with being neurodiverse. Over the course of 6 sessions, we’ll be exploring all kinds of relationships and hope participants will come away with new found knowledge and insights that will help them navigate current and new relationships, as well as maintaining their personal safety online.”
Layered Lives is part of the Ending Violence Against Women and Girls (EVAWG) campaign and proudly supported by the Northern Ireland Executive, working together to create safer, more inclusive communities for women and girls.
